The Ripken Foundation’s latest Ripken Playbook Live virtual event featured three time U.S. women’s amateur competitor, 2020 Texas amateur tournament champion, and now University of Texas Women’s Golfer, Bentley Cotton. Cotton is in her freshman year and entered college ranked No. 74 in the AJGA Rolex Rankings. Not only did Cotton share her remarkable accolades and answer questions about golf with our youth, but also shared how she has persevered throughout her golf career. Cotton touched on adversity she had to endure being a woman in golf and how she overcame it. This Ripken Playbook Live event is part of the Foundation’s continuing initiative to adapt our in-person programming to engage and mentor our youth virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic.
