The Ripken Foundation teamed up with Niagara Cares, Home Depot, Greater Clark County Schools, and Grant Line Nursery to execute a community enhancement project at Charlestown Sr. High School. Over the course of two days, over 1,000 volunteers from several different community partners came together to make improvements to the culinary arts department and urban garden at the high school. Students at the high school can now work together growing their own ingredients to use in healthy meals they have created. The Culinary Arts department was also provided with a brand new commercial refrigerator, commercial sink, cooking necessities, tables, chairs and more.
