The Ripken Foundation partnered with the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP) to host a College Day Experience for youth at Salisbury University. Kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore, Next One Up, James Mosher Baseball, the PGC Police Athletic League, and the Living Classroom Foundation were treated to a fun day exploring the campus and learning more about what college is like. Staff from the Salisbury Admissions Office gave a presentation for the kids about college and the admissions process. Then, a panel of five students, including a student athlete, held a Q & A where the kids could ask more about college life. After lunch in the dining hall, Salisbury University students led the kids on a tour of the campus. To end the day, the Salisbury University Men's Soccer Team joined the kids on the field for a friendly game of soccer.
