The Ripken Foundation hosted a baseball clinic for the kids at the Marjorie S. Fisher Boys & Girls Club in West Palm Beach. The kids were surprised with a very exciting visit from Washington Nationals' first baseman Dominic Smith, accompanied by the Nationals' mascot, Screech. Smith joined the kids on the field to help develop their batting and catching skills and for a few friendly games of baseball. “We cannot thank Dom and Screech enough for taking time out of their busy schedules to come hangout with our Club members,” said Marjorie S. Fisher Boys & Girls Clubs Marketing Manager Grace Madden. “It was incredible seeing Dom interact with the kids and I am certain this is a day they will never forget!” The kids ended their fun-filled day with a group photo with Screech and Smith, who signed a few autographs for the kids. Before leaving, Smith gave bobble heads and tickets for the upcoming spring training games to all of the Boys & Girls Club members.
