The Ripken Foundation Helps With the Fight Against Food Insecurity

The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation continues to help our neighbors in need through fiscal sponsorship of two local food initiatives: Feed Anne Arundel County and Feed Howard County. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Feed Anne Arundel and Feed Howard County help to support local restaurants distribute much needed meals to people and families in need. President and CEO of the Ripken Foundation, Steve Salem reflected, “Nobody should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from and hopefully our support can help in eliminating that worry." To date, Feed Anne Arundel has provided 37,520 hot meals and Feed Howard County has provided over 4,000 hot meals and counting. The Ripken Foundation is honored to continue to help local community members who are fighting against food insecurity.
