The Ripken Foundation Celebrates the 16th Annual Aspire Gala

This past Friday at the 16^th Annual Aspire Gala, we honored World Golf Hall of Famer & 10 -time LPGA Major Champion, Annika Sorenstam, Baseball Hall of Fame Manager, Tony La Russa, and U.S. Marine and Paralympic Athlete, Rob Jones for their excellence in their sport and philanthropic efforts. We also proudly honored Ripken Scholar Award winner, Venus Simone Rogers, for her peer mentorship with the Ripken Foundation’s I’m GREAT and Badges for Baseball programs, and commitment to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain. The evening was emceed by the voice of University of Maryland athletics, Johnny Holliday, and concluded with a rockin’ performance by Loverboy! Thank you to our Board of Director Co-Chairs: Calvin Butler, Jermaine Swafford, and Dan Towriss, and to our donors and sponsors for a night to remember!  All event proceeds will directly support the Foundation and the children we serve.
