The Ripken Foundation is excited to celebrate the success of the United Community Center's first all-girls Badges for Baseball program of the year. Youth were joined by law enforcement officers from the Milwaukee Sheriff Department and the Milwaukee Police Department. The kids were excited to participate in a friendly game of dodgeball with the mentors and law enforcement officers. Throughout the Badges for Baseball program, the groups of youth participants will rotate through a variety of sports, including Quickball, which will be incorporated into many of the lessons taught by caring mentors.
