Ripken Foundation and UnitedHealthcare Team Up to Renovate High School

The Ripken Foundation and UnitedHealthcare ended the year at John Jay High School in San Antonio for a Community Enhancement project. Joined by the UnitedHealthcare volunteers, Ripken Foundation staff cleaned out and renovated spaces throughout the high school, including the weight room, outdoor spaces, counseling office conference room, and storage spaces in the dance and culinary classrooms. After the six different spaces were enhanced, Chris Welsh led a training for student athletes and coaches in the updated weight room with the new equipment. Both students and teachers were thrilled with the new resources.
