The Ripken Foundation and Edgewater Solutions joined forces to install a brand new STEM Center at the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick County. Ripken Foundation STEM Centers like this one come stocked with new furniture, STEM educational equipment, like Snap Circuits and Bee-Bots, and the Ripken Foundation STEM curriculum. After the ribbon cutting, the club's staff members received training on the Foundation, the Foundation curriculum, and their new educational materials. Timika Thrasher, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick County, and her staff are excited to now have hands-on activities to show kids that STEM learning can also be fun.
