In partnership with Devon Energy, the Ripken Foundation has brought mobile STEM labs to two fifth grade Centers and all 13 of Oklahoma City’s middle schools, making the grand total 15 brand new STEM Centers.
The Foundation and Devon Energy celebrated these new STEM Centers with a grand opening at Wheeler Middle School. School officials and students joined the Foundation and Devon Energy’s President and CEO Rick Muncrief.
Every middle school student in the Oklahoma City Public School (OKCPS) system will now have access to important STEM technology that will help to advance their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in a fun learning environment. Teachers in the OKCPS system will be trained to teach the CRSF STEM curriculum and how to use their new educational products, like Bee-Bots, Ozobots, Snap Circuits, and 3D printers.
