The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver have been one of the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation’s strongest program partners over the last four years; implementing several Ripken Foundation programs across Colorado, including Denver, Lakewood, Brighton, Montbello, Lincoln Park, and Westwood. They have implemented the Badges for Baseball program with the Denver Police Department, Denver Fire Department, and Denver SWAT. Throughout the years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver use a variety of sports including soccer, flag football and a Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation favorite, Quickball, throughout five club locations.
In 2017 the Pat Bowlen Youth Development Field opened, located at their Suncor Club in Commerce City. During the COVID-19 pandemic, over 400 youth have utilized Pat Bowlen Field to participate in programming at a socially, safe distance.
