Amazon and the Ripken Foundation Partner to Support Virtual Learning for Members of Lawrenceville Boys & Girls Club

Oct 05, 2020

The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic has caused challenges for continued learning and back-to-school routines for families across Georgia. In an effort to support local children and educators we partnered with Amazon to distribute At-Home STEM kits to the youth of Lawrenceville Boys & Girls Club. “This is a huge game changer for our STEM Technology Program.” said Rory Johnson, executive director of Lawrenceville Boys & Girls Club. “These STEM Kits allow our kids access to another outlet to enhance their knowledge in this area of technology with hands on experiences.”

The kits are a part of the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation’s STEM initiative to provide engaging and stimulating activities for kids to use in their own homes. These educational STEM Kits reinforce and expand upon science, technology, engineering, and math lessons from the classroom in a fun and captivating way.
