Is it to improve health, get in shape, or is it just for personal enjoyment? According to the Harvard Opinion Research Program and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health there are many ways that sports impact your daily life now and in the future.
We concluded from their article on “Sports and Health in America” that it is important to encourage kids to start playing sports at a young age, as it can lead to benefits in physical health, mental health, and social health. Think back to if you played sports as a child and how it impacted your life. The new friends you made, the skills you developed, and the health benefits were all a result of the role sports played in your life at a young age.
So if you’re wondering why sports are so important to be implemented into kid’s daily lives, just think of the positive impacts that sports have affected you or people you that you may know. Share your own thoughts, reasons, and experiences with us in the comments section below!
