Today’s Ripken Playbook Play of the Day focuses on how to practice being a respectful friend, a good listener, and speaking kindly to others. This activity draws from our Healthy Choices, Healthy Children – Resilience Edition and will help kids visualize positive behaviors.
Materials:
- Paper
- Pencil, pen, or markers/colored pens
Activity instructions/questions:
This activity can be done solo, with a partner, or with a group
- Draw what respect looks like to you
- Is it a helpful gesture to your parent or grandparent? A kind word to a friend? A thank you note? Explain on the back of your drawing what you drew and how it is depicting respect or share with your partner/group.
Hang your picture up somewhere where you can see it to remind you of how to be a respectful friend!
