As I sit here at my desk writing this blog post, I am a little perplexed because I am not out at camp enjoying free time or the ropes course and getting ready for dinner with over 200 people. For the past two weeks, the CRSF program team and I have been at camp enjoying the last few weeks of summer with a couple hundred kids and chaperones from all across the country.
I already miss my 6 a.m. wakeup call and getting everyone up and ready for the day. I had so much fun getting to meet kids from Wisconsin, Texas, California, Illinois, and so many more states. I will remember a lot of things about camp, especially all the baseball and softball activities at the Ripken Complex in Aberdeen. My favorites include the warm-ups, watching kids learn how to throw, and seeing their faces when they hit the ball for the first time during the scrimmages.
Camp is my favorite time of year and I will eagerly look forward to next year. I want to thank all the organizations and chaperones for coming and bringing the kids to an once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Bring on May 2014!
