It is hard to believe we have already started the summer season! With a successful week of camp behind us and our interns conquering several projects around the office, we figured it was time to introduce them! This summer, we have three spectacular interns who hit the ground running on day one and have not slowed down. We would like to introduce you to Anthony Cangelosi, Ann Bradley Lewis, and Rachel Young! Be sure to follow their activities this summer through their twitter handle: @Intern_CRSF
Anthony Cangelosi
My name is Anthony Cangelosi and I am a graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland where I was a Sociology major and a 4-year baseball player. The game of baseball has done so much for me in my life, and I am thankful for the opportunity to be a Programming Intern for the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation. Here I will have the chance to learn more about program and event coordination in the baseball industry, but most importantly, I will have the chance to impact the lives of children who need it through the game that I love.
Ann Bradley Lewis
Hi everyone! My name is Ann Bradley Lewis and I am a programming intern at the Cal Ripken Sr., Foundation. I am a rising senior majoring in sports management at Elon University in North Carolina. When I’m not working at the Ripken Foundation, I spend my days teaching at Rebounders Gymnastics in Timonium, Maryland. My love for children was one of the reasons why I wanted to be part of this organization that gives back to at-risk youth across America. I’m so happy to be part of the Ripken Foundation this summer and excited to see what it has in store for me in the future!
Rachel Young
Hi everyone! My name is Rachel Young and I am one of the programming interns at the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation this summer. I am a rising senior at Millersville University of Pennsylvania majoring in Speech Communication with an option in Public Relations and will be graduating in December. Growing up, the game of softball shaped my life and taught me so much. As a part of this organization, I hope to combine my passion for sports and working with youth to impact the lives of at-risk children. I’m very thankful for this opportunity and look forward to being a part of the Ripken Foundation!
