As you have seen from our training video, Quickball is basically a fast-paced version of baseball that can be played indoors and out. Even though the brief video only features a couple variations of Quickball games, there are many more variations you can play! Check out the Quickball Manual under Materials for more ideas.
And, as with any other team sport, Quickball provides teachable moments that can be used to demonstrate the lessons in Healthy Choices, Healthy Children (HCHC). To help you talk to your kids about some key life lessons, we’ve created the HCHC Quickball Edition.
This condensed version of HCHC not only helps you get started with Quickball, but also provides examples of four games that relate to the lessons of teamwork, sportsmanship, communication, and leadership. Like the core HCHC curriculum, the Quickball Edition includes discussion questions and tips for reinforcing each lesson on the field.
Whether you’re a Quickball pro or playing for the first time, try out the HCHC Quickball Edition with your kids and let us know what you think!
