Deja Gough is a Baltimore native who graduated from the Bryn Mawr School for Girls, where she was the vice president of the Diversity Club and the Black Student Union (BSU). During her time at Bryn Mawr, she was also a member of Invest in Girls and the Baltimore Educational Scholarship Trust (B.E.S.T.) program. As an Edith Hamilton Scholar recipient, Deja designed and developed an app for her family’s local restaurant, Georgia Peach. Before college, she joined Outreach 360 and visited the Dominican Republic to teach English to underprivileged youth. She is fluent in English, conversant in Spanish, and is currently learning Italian. After graduating from Clemson University with a bachelors in economics and receiving a nanodegree in UX/UI design, Deja pursued a career in finance. She is very excited to be a part of the Ripken Foundation and hopes her work can be a catalyst for positive life advancements to Baltimore youth.
