This month, the Ripken Foundation, in partnership with XTO Energy and Devon Energy, is bringing the top two STEM Student Challenge teams to Baltimore, MD to compete in the final round of the STEM Challenge. The STEM Challenge finalists, the Tulsa Dream Center and the Young Women's Leadership Academy (YWLA) of Midland, TX, will enjoy a fun-filled trip with activities like visiting the National Aquarium, going to a Baltimore Oriole's baseball game, and meeting Cal. The teams will also present their innovative ideas to the Ripken Foundation board members. The Tulsa Dream Center has designed a prototype for counting money, and the YWLA of Midland has created a binary counter.
