Prior to joining the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, Elise had been leading the development and marketing divisions for her local United Way. In her past roles as Chief Development Officer and Chief Innovation Officer for United Way of Central Maryland, she guided the transformation of her organization to meet the changing needs of its many constituencies. From building marketing programs to cultivating and developing major gift fundraising, Elise has had the opportunity to identify new streams of revenue, develop engagement strategies that embrace new technologies that are imperative to shaping the future of an organization.
During Elise's time at United Way she served on the United Way Worldwide’ s National Women’s Leadership Council, and United Way Worldwide’s Diversity & Inclusion Council. Elise was selected in 2009 to be a United Way Global Fellow sponsored by the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
Serving others is key driver to everything Elise does. She volunteers her time and expertise for many organizations across greater Baltimore. She has also served as an advisor for the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Fellows Program and was named one of Central Maryland’s Leading Women by The Daily Record.
Elise also spent four years living in the United Kingdom. She worked for MBNA EUROPE in Chester, England working on strategic partnerships with High Education and the English Premier League Football Clubs.
Elise, a Maryland native, has two children, resides in Timonium, Maryland, and is Baltimore’s biggest fan.
