On Friday, November 1, 2024, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation will hold its 12th College Season Tip-Off Luncheon. Cal Ripken, Jr. joins some of the greatest coaches in basketball history for a panel discussion, moderated by a commentator to be announced, on all things college basketball. Attendees also enjoy a delicious lunch before the special panel takes the stage.
The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps to strengthen America’s most underserved and distressed communities by supporting and advocating for children, building Youth Development Parks, partnering with law enforcement and youth service agencies, and addressing community needs through its national program initiatives. Founded in 2001, the Foundation is led by former Major League Baseball players, Cal Ripken, Jr. and Bill Ripken, and was named in memory of their father, Cal, Sr. The life lessons of leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, personal responsibility, and a strong work ethic are keys to success for all young people, especially those living in disadvantaged circumstances.
